Helper, Steven, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Helper is a specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and a sub-specialist in Interventional Spine Pain Management. He completed his sub-specialty fellowship studies at the Penn Spine Center at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he trained in the latest minimally invasive spine procedures for diagnosing and treating spine pain disorders.
Prior to his training at the Penn Spine Center, Dr. Helper completed his residency program at the University of British Columbia. He is a certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as well as the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also certified in electromyography (EMG) through the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists.
Currently, Dr. Helper operates a private practice in interventional spine pain management out of the False Creek Surgical Centre.
